This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information through our iOS application, Peggy. By using Peggy, you agree to the practices described here.

1.1 Email Data.

  • Read-Only Access: We access the “From,” “Reply-To,” and “To” fields of emails (collectively “the header”) in your inbox.
  • Rule-Based Access: We only access the full content of an email if it matches a sender you have explicitly approved.
  • Storage: Emails that meet your approved rules are securely stored in our cloud database so we can deliver features like reminders and calendars.

1.2 Other Personal Information. When you provide additional details (e.g., profile information, preferences), we store them securely. This information is never shared with external AI or LLM providers.

1.3 Usage and Device Information. When you use Peggy, we automatically collect device identifiers (such as your device's vendor identifier), app version, and usage events to improve the product.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Deliver a personalized and efficient experience.
  • Apply user-specific rules for email processing.
  • Notify you of upcoming events, reminders, and activities.
  • Improve Peggy's functionality, support, and future development.
  • Measure the effectiveness of our marketing.

Important: We do not use Google Workspace APIs to develop, improve, or train generalized AI or machine learning models.

3. Email Rules & Privacy Control

Transparency: All your email rules are visible within the app under Settings > Approved Senders.
Flexibility: You can add, edit, or delete rules at any time to decide how your emails are processed.

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in limited cases:

  • Service Providers: With trusted third-party providers who help us operate Peggy (e.g., hosting, infrastructure, email delivery, product analytics).
  • Legal Compliance: If required by law (e.g., legal requests, subpoenas, or government inquiries).

5. Data Security

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information, including encryption, secure servers, and strict access controls.
